All shaw laminate flooring boards go through a rigorous direct-pressure manufacturing process. By fuses four layers into one extremely hard surface a purely stain and dent resistant floor is produced. The back or bottom layer is reinforced with melamine for structural stability and moisture resistance most common in sublevel installation. Next is a fiberboard core that provides impact resistance and stability. Then Shaw's decorative layer, composed of a highly detailed photograph, gives the laminate the appearance of natural wood or tile floors. A clear finish wear layer of melamine is reinforced with aluminum oxide, one of the hardest mineral compounds known to man, to resist staining, fading, surface moisture, and wear. Also know to be nearly as hard in density as diamonds making it easy to clean as well as keep new.
